Summary
Octet3D asks for no sign-up, creates no account and stores no personal data on its own servers. What exists are audience-analytics and affiliate-programme cookies, described below.
What we do NOT collect
We never ask for your name, email, phone or address. Files you open in the calculators (STL, 3MF, OBJ, PLY, G-code) are read inside your own browser and are never uploaded to any server — not even ours.
Audience analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit and which pages get read. It uses cookies and records things like pages viewed, device type and approximate location (country/region). We do not use this to identify you individually.
Affiliate links
We take part in the Amazon and AliExpress affiliate programmes. When you click a product link, the destination store sets a cookie so it can tell the visit came from here and pay the commission. That cookie is set by the store, not by us, and follows their privacy policy. It costs you nothing extra.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps technical access logs and derives your country from your IP address. We use only that country to pick the language and currency shown. We do not store IP addresses.
Printer voting
The vote feature stores only a counter per model. We do not record who voted, nor IP, nor any identifier.
How to opt out
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and disable Google Analytics by installing Google’s official opt-out add-on. The site keeps working normally without analytics cookies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request confirmation, access, correction or deletion of data, and withdraw consent. Since we keep no personal database, in practice such requests concern the third-party services named above — but write to us and we will help point you the right way.
Changes
If the way data is handled changes, this page is updated with it and the date above changes.
